Job summary

Allied Universal in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with an active DoD Secret Clearance to protect clients in aerospace/defense settings. This role offers weekend shifts and a schedule that fits your needs within a large national security team.

You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while following site policies. Opportunity for training and career growth is available.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Guard Card and/or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, report security-related concerns, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with site requirements.
• Support access-control procedures by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors, and reporting access irregularities to appropriate site personnel.

Pay Rate: $25.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
