Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Arlington, VA. You will provide unarmed patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires at least 2 years of security experience and an active DoD Secret Clearance; a guard card or local license is preferred. The schedule offers evening and weekend shifts with a competitive pay rate of $26.27 per hour.

Qualifications

• Guard card or state/local security license preferred.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, office areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Support protection of sensitive business operations and restricted areas by following established access-control, reporting and incident-escalation procedures.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
