Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for persons entering restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
• Maintain armed post equipment, complete incident reports and daily activity logs, and coordinate with leadership and site personnel.

Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Tue: 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Wed: 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur: 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri: 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, patient or visitor disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials or authorization for persons entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Maintain required armed post equipment, complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
