As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, conduct access control activities, and respond to security-related concerns. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted utility areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity entering and leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
