Qualifications

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Hospital Access Control in Fountain Valley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. You will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first approach while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and support visitor-management procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• A valid Firearms Permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
