Responsibilities

• Conduct unarmed patrols of facilities to deter incidents and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and coordinate with responders as directed.
• Document patrols and incidents, and communicate information to leadership and site representatives.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Assistance in Santa Monica, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide responsive customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
