Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer in Mountain View, CA. You will patrol and monitor to deter security incidents while delivering courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff. The role runs on a day shift schedule, 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM, Wednesday through Sunday, at a healthcare location.

You will engage with the public professionally, document activities, and follow site policies to maintain a welcoming environment and safety for all on site.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles; HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and donors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of hospital areas and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to site leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and donors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital foundation offices, public areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
