As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Full Time in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to developing situations. You will communicate clearly with visitors and staff while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation; promptly communicate observations and concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
