Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site personnel and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while maintaining awareness of changing conditions throughout the assigned location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
