Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while enforcing site procedures and emergency response activities at a correctional facility.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and report irregularities or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinating with facility personnel and responders.
• Maintain patrol activity, incidents, observations, and shift reports in line with procedures.

As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government corrections setting, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide clear communication and exceptional customer service while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a correctional facility.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and report irregularities, prohibited items, or unauthorized entry attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain required documentation, including patrol activity, incidents, observations, and shift reports, in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
