Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations Driver in Spruce Pine, NC. You will safeguard clients across various government locations, conduct routine armed patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service and clear communications.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, armed guard credentials, and readiness for background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other designated areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, exit, deliveries, and visitor movement in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, communicating observations and incidents to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations Driver in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Professional supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
