Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed at Ashburn, VA. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

You will provide security and customer service at a technology/media location, perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner. Minimum requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures, assisting with entry screening, credential verification, and visitor direction as assigned.
• Document incidents, patrol findings, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Physical Readiness in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
