Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Patrol First Aid Readiness. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service to tenants and staff, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents. CPR/First Aid and guard card are preferred, with a high school diploma required.

Pay rate: $23.36 per hour; schedule: Sundays 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM at the Ashburn site.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol First Aid Readiness in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when directed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
