Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, solution-focused manner, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, loading docks, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor entry requirements, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Response in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.


• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
