What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain required logs, and report unusual activity to site leadership and appropriate responders.
- Carry and maintain authorized duty equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, client policies, and Allied Universal procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least three years of security-related experience, law enforcement experience, military police experience, or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
