Qualifications

• Valid armed guard card or license.
• At least 6 months of armed security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• CPR certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to members, guests, residents, and staff by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor records.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner per site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with guests, vendors, and staff at controlled access points.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, common areas, parking, and perimeter to identify and report security concerns.

As a Security Officer Armed Access Gate in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Armed Access Control Officer, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with members and guests, and support a professional presence that helps deter incidents. Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to members, guests, residents, and staff by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, issue or collect visitor credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and delivery records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with guests, vendors, and staff while providing directions and assistance at controlled access points.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold CPR certification, preferred.
• Hold CPR and First Aid certification, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
