Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for a full-time site-based role in Illinois. You will protect people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe environment.

Role emphasizes vigilance, reporting, and strong customer service while ensuring safety protocols are followed. No prior experience is required, and comprehensive benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and vigilant.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgement and escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control for inbound and outbound trucks at security gate.
• Keep active log of all trucks entering and exiting the facility.
• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, and entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
