As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience using alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience using access control systems and badge systems is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
