Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Alarm Panel Operator in LINCOLN, NE. You will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare settings, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $22.36 / Hour. Schedule includes several overnight shifts. Join Allied Universal’s caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, staff, and vendors in accordance with site-specific access procedures.
• Maintain awareness of the healthcare environment and communicate observed hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
