Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Gilbert, AZ to perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and provide top-tier customer service at aerospace/defense locations. This full-time role requires DoD clearance, 2+ years security experience, and a commitment to safety and integrity.

You will work night shifts with a focus on protecting people, property, and sensitive assets, while maintaining calm, professional communications with clients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and enforce site-specific policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist visitor/contractor entry.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations; document observations.
• Maintain detailed logs and incident reports to deter unauthorized access.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; report unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting protection of restricted areas and assets.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
