Job summary

Allied Universal’s security team in Gilbert, AZ is hiring a Security Officer with DoD clearance. The role includes monitoring facilities, controlling access, patrolling sites, and reporting incidents to protect aerospace and defense locations.

Full-time position with a competitive pay rate and shift schedule. Candidates should have two years of security experience, a DoD Secret clearance, and a high school diploma. Background checks and a drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.
