Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Gilbert, AZ to safeguard clients in aerospace/defense environments. You will patrol, monitor access points, and respond to security concerns while delivering strong customer service.

Position is full-time with a pay rate of $24.38 per hour. Applicants must have 2+ years of security experience, an active DoD Secret clearance, and a HS diploma or equivalent. Drug screening and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Driver's license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate contacts.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and authorized contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
