The role requires 1+ year of security experience, a HS diploma or equivalent, and a background check with a drug screen. Day/evening schedules are provided, and driving positions require a license.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and patients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, clinical areas, parking locations, and surrounding grounds.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access concerns, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, parking inquiries, and policy compliance.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and patients by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, clinical areas, parking locations, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, parking inquiries, and policy compliance while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
