Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Support in Irving, TX. You will provide customer service, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to emergencies while maintaining a professional presence for patients, staff and visitors.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and compliance with background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and patients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, clinical areas, parking locations, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, parking inquiries, and policy compliance while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Tue: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Wed: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sun: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
