Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Wilmington, MA to provide customer service, monitor access, and patrol interior and exterior areas. You will deter security incidents and support policy compliance while maintaining a welcoming environment.

The role involves responding to incidents calmly, documenting activities, and following site procedures. The position offers flexible weekend shifts, a pay rate of $20.32 per hour, and opportunities for training and growth

Qualifications

• Access control and badge procedures familiarity.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Background check per policy and site requirements.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles per state law.
• Drug screening may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly, following escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including entrances and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed, reporting violations to site staff.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident logs per Allied Universal requirements.

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
