Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Wilmington, MA. You will help protect clients across tech/telecom environments, deter security incidents, and provide welcoming, professional service to employees and visitors.

As a part-time role, you can build a flexible schedule and participate in our shift-claim platform. You will learn and apply company policies, support access control, and contribute to a safe, secure environment in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• 18+ years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications site by carrying out security procedures and emergency response when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, following escalation/reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor credentials as directed by site procedures; report unusual conditions.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs per Allied Universal requirements.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Pay Rate: $20.32 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
