Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Franklin, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and help maintain an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points for a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Coordinate vehicle, driver, and delivery access in accordance with site procedures while helping to maintain an orderly flow at gates, docks, and/or other designated entry areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
