Job summary

Allied Universal West Point, GA is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Specialist to safeguard client sites and support a secure environment. You will manage entry/exit, verify credentials, and provide responsive customer service at a logistics facility.

The position is full-time with day-evening shifts. Candidates must meet minimum age, education, and background-screen requirements and may be subject to licensing or driver-eligence checks as applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required; a valid driver's license is needed for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while supporting orderly movement throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
