Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Point Attendant in Shepherdsville, KY. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitors, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Position type is full time with a 6:00 AM–2:00 PM schedule. Excellent customer service and clear communication are essential for a welcoming environment and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications site by following access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor-entry records, and direct authorized individuals.
• Respond to access-control alarms and incidents; follow emergency procedures and report concerns.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, exits, restricted areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs of incidents, visitor activity, and shift observations.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with established site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and promptly reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, restricted areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of incidents, visitor activity, access-control events, and shift-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
