Qualifications

As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a professional, visible presence while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to help maintain orderly movement at gates, docks, and other designated entry points.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business perimeter, to identify and report security-related concerns, unauthorized activity, and/or facility issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
