Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Experience with access control systems preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate security technology and computer-based systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with Slack or similar workplace messaging platforms.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned location.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility.
• Use C-Cure access control systems to open doors, manage badge access, and create badges.
• Use D-Boss/Site Pass to read, understand, and process tickets authorizing access to the site.
• Use BioConnect system to update fingerprints for biometric readers.
• Monitor CCTV systems diligently and remain vigilant for unusual activity.
• Ensure all visitors are properly checked in and authorized before access.
• Use an intercom system to communicate professionally with visitors.
• Communicate effectively with the operations team via radio.
• Enforce site security policies, procedures, and access control protocols.
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports.
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Collaborate with fellow Security Officers, management, and client personnel.
• Utilize Slack for workplace communication and messaging.
• Utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook for daily administrative tasks.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment at all times.
