Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Chattanooga, TN. You will guard a logistics and distribution site, monitor access points, perform routine patrols, and respond to alarms while delivering professional customer service.

You will verify credentials, deter unauthorized activity, and maintain situational awareness on a 3-shift schedule. Prior badge and alarm experience is preferred; a background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by enforcing site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct patrols of loading areas, parking, access points, trailers, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and document observations.
• Maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity and report security issues.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while responding to alarms and maintaining a visible presence. $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, trailers, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity around the location and communicate security-related issues according to established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
