Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Part Time Security Officer at our Spartanburg, SC location. You will monitor areas, perform patrols, and support access control while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers flexible scheduling with weekend shifts and opportunities for training and career growth. A background check and drug screen apply where required by law.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business spaces and entry points.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures to deter unauthorized access.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs promptly.

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology, media, and telecommunications location.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as applicable.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access and support an orderly workplace environment.

• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
