Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Access) to protect people and property at an industrial manufacturing location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will provide courteous service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site procedures, handling incidents calmly, and coordinating with management and emergency services when needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor arrivals, issuing visitor passes as authorized, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Observe entry points, gates, and vehicle traffic for unusual activity; report access-control concerns, incidents, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting emergency services and/or management when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including entrances, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards.
