Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an Access Control Security Officer to manage entry and exit points at a construction site, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor records. You will provide outstanding service while staying vigilant to deter incidents and ensure safety.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, patrolling areas, and documenting activity. Minimums: 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed), high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and possible licensing

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor and contractor access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, construction work areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and maintain accurate reports of incidents, access activity, and policy violations.

What You'll Do
