Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Entry Access Security Officer in Spartanburg, SC. You will guard construction site access points, verify credentials, and provide courteous service to employees, contractors, and visitors, helping to deter unauthorized entry while remaining compliant with site policies.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will undergo a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor records.
• Respond to access-related incidents and alarms calmly, escalating as needed per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points and perimeter locations.
• Document incidents, observations, and shift activities in accordance with procedures.

What You\u2019ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a construction location.


• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.


• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, construction areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.


• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, documenting incidents, observations, and shift activities in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
