Job summary

Allied Universal in Ladson, SC is seeking a Security Officer Access Control to safeguard facilities at an automotive site. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and help deter unauthorized activity.

This full-time driving role requires a valid driver's license, strong customer service, and the ability to operate a computer or tablet. You will patrol, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming, secure environment for employees and guests.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and/or corporate location while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to designated areas, inspect incoming and outgoing traffic as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
