Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Access Badge Control in Jacksonville, FL. You will monitor access, patrol designated areas, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while providing excellent customer service to clients across Logistics & Distribution sectors.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and integrity, with a full-time schedule and a pay rate of $17.25 per hour. This is an unarmed position requiring basic computer use and adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry and exit of personnel, drivers, visitors, and vehicles.
• Observe and report conditions such as damaged fencing or suspicious activity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and promptly reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of vehicle storage areas, loading zones, buildings, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry and exit of personnel, drivers, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe and report conditions such as damaged fencing, unsecured gates, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
