Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Management in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a logistics and distribution location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, observe and report unusual conditions, and provide professional customer service. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, vehicle-yard concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of logistics and distribution areas, vehicle storage lots, entry and exit points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and communicate security-related concerns, hazards, and unusual conditions to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
