Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Access Control in Front Royal, VA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and personnel.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to authorized personnel, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government maritime transportation location.
• Control access to facilities, terminals, restricted areas, and/or other designated locations by verifying credentials, visitor authorization, and entry requirements in accordance with site‑specific policies.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarm systems, cameras, and/or communications equipment; report unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Pay Rate: $21.65 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:
