Allied Universal, Ashburn, VA, is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Control Keyholder to monitor entry points, manage badges, and respond to alarms at a financial services location. You will provide friendly customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.

This role offers flexible hours (Tue/Wed/Thu 2:00 PM–10:00 PM) and opportunities to learn technology tools to claim additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Age requirements: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain access-related records.
• Respond to access-control alarms and incidents; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, restricted areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Report security-related concerns and incidents through required documentation.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, restricted areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report security-related concerns, unusual activity, access-control issues, and incidents through required documentation and communication channels.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
