Job Description: Security Officer

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests and employees. This role involves following safety and security standards and completing incident reports as needed.

1. Patrol the hotel property to ensure safety and protect assets.
2. Monitor and manage employee key distribution, including conducting inventory during each shift.
3. Document and secure all lost and found items received.
4. Investigate crimes against property and persons, initiating and following up on investigations.
5. Assist with additional duties as directed by the Security Supervisor or Director of Security.

Qualifications

• A genuine desire to meet the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Previous hotel security experience is preferred.
