Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time position in Charles City, IA. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment through access control, monitoring, and proactive security measures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of customer service experience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while using available technology to support security operations on site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce access control and post orders.
• Patrol multiple client sites to maintain safety and security.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service to employees and guests on site.
• Use technology devices during shifts and conduct site rounds.
• Carry out site-specific tasks as required and conduct property tours.

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• 1 year of Customer Service experience needed.
