Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Security Officer for a full-time night shift in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role focuses on monitoring premises, managing access control, patrolling varied client sites, and enforcing site regulations to preserve safety and order.

You will work with client personnel and visitors, report safety issues, follow post orders, and operate technology devices throughout the shift. Strong customer service and calm, professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Driver certification.
• Must be comfortable with heights and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct heavy foot patrols of the property during various weather conditions.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Industrial Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Wage: $18.00/HR

3rd Shift: Thurs - Sun (12 Hour Shifts)

TheIndustrial Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
