Job summary

Hyatt Regency Phoenix is seeking a Security Officer to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors. You will protect hotel assets, monitor safety operations, respond to emergencies, and deliver exceptional customer service with calm, professional judgment.

The role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to remain composed under pressure while enforcing policies and collaborating with emergency responders.

Qualifications

Desire to satisfy guests in fast-paced environment.

Ability to stand long periods and walk moderate distances.
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Proficiency with basic computer systems.
Previous security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a visible, professional security presence to protect guests and colleagues.
Conduct routine patrols of facilities and grounds to identify safety concerns.
Respond quickly to emergencies (medical, fire alarms, accidents).
Investigate and document incidents with detailed reports.
Enforce hotel policies and laws with discretion and respect.
Assist with lost and found procedures and guest belongings.
Provide directions and information to guests, delivering strong customer service.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
Monitor surveillance systems and alarms to mitigate threats.
Support hotel operations during events and high guest activity.

Job Summary

As a Security Officer at Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, you will help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting hotel assets, monitoring safety and security operations, responding to emergencies, and delivering exceptional customer service. Success in this position requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the property to promote safety and security for guests and colleagues.
Conduct routine patrols of hotel facilities and grounds to identify and address safety concerns, security risks, or unusual activity.
Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, accidents, and other security-related situations.
Investigate, document, and prepare detailed reports regarding incidents, accidents, property damage, and suspicious activities.
Enforce hotel policies and applicable laws while managing challenging situations with professionalism, discretion, and respect.
Assist with lost and found procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and the secure handling of guest belongings.
Provide assistance, information, and directions to guests and colleagues, delivering outstanding customer service at all times.
Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders as needed.
Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and other security equipment to identify and mitigate potential threats.
Support hotel operations and special events by helping maintain a safe environment during conferences, meetings, and periods of high guest activity.
Collaborate with hotel leadership and department teams to promote a culture of safety and security throughout the property.
