Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time) for overnight shifts in Scottsdale, AZ. The role focuses on guest and employee safety, adherence to hotel policies, and proactive incident reporting.

Starts at 19.00 USD per hour with three 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am, Thu–Sat). The position requires strong communication, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to respond to emergencies and alarms promptly.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work overnight/full-time shifts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods.
• Full availability including weekends/holidays; overnight shifts preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to write reports.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce hotel rules with courtesy and professionalism.
• De-escalate conflicts using appropriate techniques.
• Assess situations and determine actions.
• Communicate incident details to management.
• Create accurate incident/accident reports when needed.
• Identify and investigate suspicious behavior and activity.
• Conduct foot patrols of designated areas.
• Respond to alarms and requests for assistance.
• Assist in medical emergencies and relay information to EMS.
• Utilize CCTV for investigations and surveillance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Security Director.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Starts at $19.00 per hour, (3) 12-hour shifts (7pm – 7am, Thursday – Saturday)

The primary role of a Hyatt Security Officer is to provide for the safety and security of the hotel’s guests and employees. Officers will adhere to established standards in the performance of their duties.

Security Officers shall:

• Enforce rules and policies with respect and professionalism.

• Resolve conflicts with the use of de-escalation techniques.

• Analyze situations accurately and implement an effective course of action.

• Clearly communicate incident details with management.

• Create accurate incident/accident reports as necessary.

• Identify and investigate suspicious behavior and irregular activity.

• Conduct Foot Patrols of designated areas.

• Respond to alarms and requests for assistance.

• Respond to medical emergencies, render aid, and relay information to EMS.

• Utilize CCTV systems for investigations and surveillance.

• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Security.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

• Refined verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances.

• Must be able to provide full availability shifts are typically 7:00AM – 7:00PM, including weekends, and holidays. Availability to assist with overnight shifts preferred.

• Proficient in basic computer skills and report writing.

• Customer service experience preferred.

• Valid Driver’s license required.
