Hyatt Regency Phoenix is seeking a Security Officer to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors. You will protect hotel assets, monitor safety operations, respond to emergencies, and deliver exceptional customer service with calm, professional judgment.

The role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to remain composed under pressure while enforcing policies and collaborating with emergency responders.

Qualifications

• Desire to satisfy guests in fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand long periods and walk moderate distances.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems.
• Previous security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence to protect guests and colleagues.
• Conduct routine patrols of facilities and grounds to identify safety concerns.
• Respond quickly to emergencies (medical, fire alarms, accidents).
• Investigate and document incidents with detailed reports.
• Enforce hotel policies and laws with discretion and respect.
• Assist with lost and found procedures and guest belongings.
• Provide directions and information to guests, delivering strong customer service.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms to mitigate threats.
• Support hotel operations during events and high guest activity.
• Collaborate with leadership to foster a culture of safety.
