Job summary

Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill is seeking a Security Officer to protect guests and staff and to uphold safety standards within a premier hotel by patrolling, monitoring cameras, and completing incident reports. This role primarily covers overnight hours (11:00pm–7:30am) with flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Desire to satisfy guests and colleagues in a fast-paced hotel setting.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Proficient in basic computer skills; prior security experience preferred.
• Special Police Officer license, or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the hotel to ensure safety and security of guests and staff.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and document incidents with reports.
• Respond to incidents with professionalism and follow security procedures.
• Work mostly 11:00pm–7:30am, with occasional shifts on weekends or holidays.

The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the hotel guests and colleagues. This person will follow departmental safety and security standards, patrol the building, monitor cameras, complete incident reports, and other tasks as required. This position will work primarily 11:00pm-7:30am, with flexibility needed to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays.

The hourly rate for this position is $24.00.
