Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Security & Emergency Services Officer for our Greenspring Village community. This full-time night position (7pm-7am) includes EMR training after 45 days and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will patrol the 60-acre campus, greet guests at the gatehouse, and respond to non-emergency needs with a friendly, trusted presence for residents and families. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, with an additional night shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current and valid driver’s license required (good driving record).
• Prior experience in security preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, vendors, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Conduct safety checks and Life Safety/OSHA compliance tasks.
• Receive non-emergency calls from dispatch and respond timely.
• Respond to community emergencies (fires, severe weather, evacuations, etc.).
• Make a positive first impression and manage visitor traffic.

As a Security & Emergency Services (SES) Officer, you’ll help keep our vibrant senior living community safe, secure, and thriving. From patrolling our beautiful 60-acre campus to welcoming guests at the gatehouse and respond and assist with non-emergency needs, you’ll be a friendly, trusted presence residents rely on. After 45 days, you’ll also take part in our Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program, playing a key role in supporting the health and well-being of those around you.

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differential. The night shift differential is $.50 per hour.

How you will make an impact

• Participate in routine interior and exterior patrols of the buildings and grounds
• Conduct safety checks and inspections in support of Life Safety and OSHA compliance
• Receive calls for non-emergency service from dispatch and security by radio or telephone and responds timely and appropriately
• Respond and assists in Community Emergencies, including but not limited to; fires, floods, severe weather, hazardous materials incidents, bomb threats, and evacuations
• Create the best initial impression of the community
• Screen all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the community
• Document all visitors and vendors/contractors and provides proper parking passes, maps, and instructs visitors to park in appropriate spaces

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current and valid driver’s license required (good driving record)
• Prior experience in security preferred
• Ability to demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and each other
• Ability to document daily activities in a clear and concise manner
