Job summary

Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME is hiring a Security Officer for the Night shift. The role focuses on monitoring the healthcare environment to prevent security incidents and deescalate situations, with potential protective services and patient restraint duties as needed by medical staff.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, CPI or equivalent, and prior hospital security experience. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered, prorated for part-time roles.

Summary

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. If appropriate for location, must obtain IAHSS certification within one year of hire required.
• License/Certifications: Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Valid Driver’s license if required at local Health System. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar to be completed within local Health System requirements. Completion of HIC 100, 200, and 700 if required by facility.
• Experience: Relevant experience in hospital safety and security preferred.
